アムステルダムを拠点とするデュオ WANDERWELLE の２作目となるアルバム『Gathering of the Ancient Spirits』が Silent Season より。後期印象派の画家ポール・ゴーギャンがプリミティブナな生活と美に惹かれ過ごした、ポリネシアでの晩年に触発され作られたアルバム。心地よい音像が揺らぎ、プリミティブな鼓動が脈打つ、素晴らしいアンビエント・ミュージック。この作品は偉大な一人の芸術家への憧れを音にしたもの。
