揚のファースト・アルバム『Worldwatch』がインディペンデント・レーベル「造園計画」よりカセットテープでリリース。

揚の『Worldwatch』。水墨画家、雪舟等楊＝拙宗等揚からその名を引き継いだ電子音楽家、揚のファースト・アルバムがインディペンデントレーベル「造園計画」よりリリース。水墨画の上を走る墨のようにうねるベースと、間歇的に挿入されるトライバルなビート。喧騒のように行き過ぎるボイスエフェクトとバッキングギター。ゲームのBGMから影響を受けたという音像は、幻想的に滲みながらカメラを定点にまで後退させる。架空の世界のムーブメントの名前を冠するそれぞれのトラック (可能世界) を経巡る視線で描かれた、漆黒のアブストラクト・ダブ。

芸能山城組的な戯画化された民族音楽の気配を湛えつつ、揚はよりバーチャルなものを求めて、『EVERGRACE』、『GARAGE』などのゲームBGMのなかで過激化されたトライバルなビートに共感する。同時に、GOTH-TRADなどの国内ダブにも多大な影響を受け、さらに54-71の「スカコア」の美学までも飲み込んでいくような「硬さ」を同居させる。

カセット本体にトレーシングペーパーで作られた帯が取り付けられた特殊仕様。DLコードとミニブックレットが付属する。

The bass undulates like ink flowing over a sumi-e painting, accompanied by intermittent tribal beats. A cacophony of voice effects and backing guitars.
This sonic landscape, inspired by video game BGM, elegantly blurs and gradually pulls the camera back to a fixed point. A deep, ebony abstract dub painted with the gaze tracing each track, each bearing the name of a movement in a fantastical world.
The first album from Yo, an electronic musician who inherits the name from the sumi-e artist Sesshu Toyo, has been released by the independent label .
While retaining echoes of Geinouyamashirogumi-esque caricatured folk music, Yo seeks a more virtual essence and resonates with the intensified tribal beats found in game BGM like ''EVERGRACE'' and ''GARAGE''. Simultaneously, he draws significant influence from Japanese dub acts like GOTH-TRAD and incorporates the ''hardness'' reminiscent of 54-71's ''ska-core'' aesthetic.
The cassette tape is uniquely crafted with a tracing paper Obi affixed to the main body, and it includes a DL code along with a mini booklet.
